Magic Spell is a large and beautifully subtle handmade screenprint depicting 13 frames of wand animation from a Harry Potter movie gleaned from the post production process whilst Goodwin worked on the films series. Magic Spell was realised when Goodwin won the 2011 Jealous Print Prize (for Wimbledon). Th screenprint really warrants being seen in person as photography doesn't do it justice - the matte black and the varnish on the spell. It looks like a bird in flight, a weather system image, a crazy paint splash! It can be seen in London either by contacting Jealous Gallery or the artist directly. Unusually for the artist the print was made prior to the corresponding animation Magic Spell which has screened in film festivals and galleries internationally.
Magic Spell is now held in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London’s Permanent Print Collection.
Framed option is for UK delivery only.
